About the MTA Educational Foundation
In 1993, the Market Technicians Association (mta.org) established the MTA Educational Foundation (the Foundation/MTAEF) with a primary mission to create and fund educational programs in the field of technical analysis – the study of how prices in freely traded markets behave and how they can be used to anticipate the future direction. This mission has since expanded to include the creation and support of a complete technical analysis curriculum that is now being taught for credit in colleges and universities around the world.

The Foundation has committed to technical analysis by providing guest speakers, training material to educators, and course material including a complete lecture series.

The Foundation’s prestigious Board of Directors is comprised of college-level instructors, Wall Street professionals, and former directors and presidents of the Market Technicians Association.

The Foundation continues to raise money to fund its efforts in creating courses and providing support to professors at undergraduate or graduate levels in technical analysis, and for academic research into the theory and practical use of technical analysis. Read more...
Continuing its primary mission to create and fund educational programs at the college-university level, the Foundation is offering 3 ways to learn about or promote technical analysis:

Has developed a complete course in technical analysis, comprised of 12 lectures, all necessary charts and exhibits. For complete information, click here.

Has put together a short course - Introduction to Technical Analysis - to be given to colleges and universities as an primer/introduction to the subject. The class is designed to be given in one 3-hour or two 2-hours sessions and should be conducted by someone who is familiar with the longer version (12 lecture) MTAEF course. If you are interested in presenting this course to your alma mater, your local college/university click here.

Has partnered with University of Maine at Fort Kent for an affordable and accessible course online. The course is given three times a year. For additional information, click here.
